One of the most grotesque features of the corporate media—and, as ever with the Liberal Right, what is worst about them is held by them to be a thing most to be treasured—is its obsession with Standards when it comes to reporting on that for which one could say there is ample Evidence and no Proof.

And here, quite aside from zionist influence in the White Media, the Holocaust in Palestine has provided a horrifically instructive example. The zionist army has a huge public relations wing, which releases statements of a kind that it is very easy for the interns of the Late Capitalist media to copy and paste from, while their victims, when they have not been murdered or kidnapped, are lying injured or starving, or, at best, are on the run from the onslaught, without basic services, and certainly without the wherewithal to craft and send statements in the languages of the global media. 

In fact it was abundantly clear early on in the Final Solution phase of this genocide that has been taking place since 1948, that the number of Palestinian dead being reported was fictional. But since there was no authority in place to count the dead, the compliant media reported a figure of 40,000 for months and months on end, sometimes hedging that the number must be “over 40,000”. They were unwilling to even attempt to figure out what an accurate death count might be, even though there was not only an ethical imperative to do so, but there are established means of making such estimates.

Now there is no secret about the fact that the zionists do not permit journalists or aid workers to enter Gaza, or anyone at all. In any sensible scenario, the Media would use this fact to doubt anything told them by the aggressors; after all, what we know about them is that they are carrying out a genocide, it is only natural to disbelieve whatever they might say. But the state-sponsored media, in particular the ghoulish English Genocide Corporation—so willing to cast doubt on the claims of state-sponsored Media in countries not in their gang—wanted and needed to get their copy from somewhere, so they carried on treating the zionists as good faith actors, unwilling even to use google translate to find out what the murderers were saying amongst themselves outside of their press releases.

Your correspondent has recently referred to the Pravda-like complicity of the global media when it comes to Trump’s dementia. Since there has been no released formal diagnosis by a Trump-approved doctor, it is regarded as taboo, a mark of unprofessionalism, to point out the obvious: that Trump is manifestly unfit to hold public office. Would anyone trust this man to run the desk at a coffee shop, a public library? Even during quiet hours? Of course fucking not. There has begun to be a shadow industry in describing Trump’s erratic behaviour in terms that commentators have assured themselves will stand to them in future months when his dementia is utterly undeniable. See, they will say,I knew it; I said he seemed ‘tired’, ‘distracted’, that he ‘digressed from his prompts’; it was all in code, but I knew it and I said it!

What has to happen for the regime media to report on what we can all see? We will find out eventually. In the meantime, the behaviours of which they are so proud mean that nothing can be reported as fact unless those who stand to lose most from the fact, themselves admit it. This is not merely a conservative approach to news, it is an absurd one. Then again, no one is looking to the Media Apparatus for leadership or ethics. As a representative of the English Genocide Corporation recently asked: “why would [zionists] say something that is not true?”
